The Master Cleanser Diet, or as popularly known; The Lemonade Diet was created by the late Naturopath Stanley Burroughs. The Diet consists of fasting to rid the body of toxins, created by improper diet, lack of exercise and negative mental attitudes. The purpose of the Lemonade Diet is to dissolve and eliminate toxins and congestion; to cleanse the kidneys and digestive system; to purify glands; to eliminate waste and hardened materials in the joints and muscles; to build a healthy bloodstream; to maintain optimal blood pressure; and to what you all are waiting to hear… to lose weight. As a reducing diet it is superior in every way, reducing fat at a rate of about two (2) pounds a day for most persons, without harmful side effects.

The traditional Master Cleanser Diet Recipe uses very cost effective and simple ingredients to make the master cleanser. These ingredients are available in any stores. They comprises of pure water, Grade B maple syrup, cayenne pepper and pure lemon juice. Below is an example of a single serving and whole day formulation of the master cleanser diet recipe.

Master Cleanser Diet Recipe for single serving:

2 Tablespoon of freshly squeezed Lemon juice

2 Tablespoon Grade B Maple Syrup

? Teaspoon of cayenne pepper (red pepper powder)

Ten oz. glass of pure water

Master Cleanser Diet Recipe for one day supply:

60 ounces of pure water per day (for a 10 ounces glass)

12 tablespoons of Grade B Maple Syrup

12 tablespoons of fresh lemon juices

About half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder or add according to your taste

There are also a few important rules that you have to abide by when following the Master Cleanser Diet Recipe. For example, you must use freshly squeezed lemon juice. Bottled or canned lemon juice does not have the same properties as fresh lemon juice. In addition, you must use Grade B maple syrup and not table syrup. To quote Katie Jones, a master cleanser veteran, “This is because “Table Syrup” (Imitation syrup), composes of mainly flavored fructose corn syrup.”
